Is this clear-cutting?
No. Everything we do is selective thinning and targeted fuel reduction. When we're done, your land still looks like Central Oregon.
Will my property end up looking bare or over-cleared?
No. Properly thinned land in this region looks better than overgrown land — more open, healthier trees, more like the park-like forests this area is known for. We also leave ground cover intact where it matters to keep dust down.
Will this create a dust bowl on my property?
It's a fair concern and one we take seriously on every job. We're deliberate about how we work — leaving woody biomass on the ground where it matters, avoiding unnecessary soil disturbance, and never clearing more than what's needed. Keeping your land intact is part of the job, not an afterthought.
Does thinning actually reduce fire risk?
